Chronology of Dave Carpenter's Journey

Dave's adult life has had two very distinct and very different phases. For the first twenty five years of his adult life, his focus – like that of many visitors to this site – was very much on career progress. By working hard and accumulating knowledge through extensive night school education and assimilation from many Divine Masters, Dave Carpenter enjoyed extraordinary career success.

By the time he was 23 years old, he was an Officer of one of the countries largest commercial banks. By 28, he had earned both his MBA and JD. At 31, he became the youngest consulting partner in the history of the large professional service firm of Coopers & Lybrand. While still in his 30's, he had written numerous articles and edited two books, and had been selected as one of the countries leading testifying financial experts through his work on some of the country's largest corporate reorganizations and legal cases. At 41, he became National Director of the Financial Advisory Services Group at Coopers. This group provided Litigation, Bankruptcy, Valuation, M&A and Corporate Finance service through some 25 offices and a staff of 750 professionals. By any measure, Carpenter was experiencing phenomenal career progress, as well as related personal satisfaction and financial success.

Notwithstanding this success, a much brighter fire began to burn within Carpenter. His participation in some great Learning Experiences and wisdom gained from being associated with so many great Divine Masters, resulted in his developing a new passion. A passion for helping companies and individuals to achieve better results. To make the Quantum Leap.

Thus began the second phase of Dave's adult life – a phase committed to coaching professional service firms and high performing individuals. In January of 1995, Dave Carpenter launched Atlanta based Partners for Market Leadership where he currently serves as Managing Partner. In 1997, he and his longtime friend and colleague, Bob Hoyt, launched Philadelphia based Partners for Corporate Renewal. And in 2003, Carpenter created Quantum Leap Strategies, a resource for high performers looking to experience even greater success in their lives.

Today, Dave Carpenter devotes much of his time to helping individuals and organizations be the very best that they can be. And at the same time, he continues his personal quest to take his own performance to even higher levels by attempting to "walk the talk" with his Quantum Leap Strategies. This fall, that quest will have Carpenter participating in his seventh Outward Bound expedition. And the beat goes on....
